Why do we sometimes ask you to be seen for an initial appointment for the completion of insurance form?
We are happy to complete insurance claim form from Bupa, Vitality, etc., and do require you to attend a face-to-face appointment with one of our GPs for a medical assessment to aid proper and thorough completion of the form unless of course you have already been seen at a private clinic or attended A&E for the condition you are trying to claim for. If this is the case, we will need copy of the summary report or clinical letters. If the letters are written in other languages other than English, please have them officially translated to English first. Please complete parts of the insurance form intended for you to complete before submission.
If you’re considering whether or not to attend the appointment, it’s essential to weigh the importance of having a thorough medical assessment against any inconvenience or discomfort associated with the appointment. In many cases, a face-to-face assessment allows for a more comprehensive understanding of your health status, which can be crucial for accurate completion of the form and potentially identifying any underlying health issues.
Ultimately, the decision to attend the appointment is yours, but it’s advisable to consider the potential impact on your insurance claim and overall health management. If you have any concerns or questions about the process, it’s always a good idea to discuss them with us as your healthcare provider or your insurance provider for clarification and guidance.
The completion of insurance form is not covered by NHS and will incur a charge. It has 21days legal turnaround and we will always assign the completion at the earliest admin time available with a doctor.
