Mounjaro Injections

WEIGHT LOSS- The NHS have commissioned a new service which will make injectable weight-loss medication (Tirzepeptide, also known as Mounjaro) available to patients through their GP practice. This will gradually be available to more patients, but for now, the medication is available only to patients who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 40 (or 37.5 for people from South Asian, Chinese, other Asian, Middle Eastern, Black African or African-Caribbean ethnic backgrounds) AND at least four weight-related health conditions (e.g. type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnoea, or cardiovascular disease). We will screen all our patients and reach out to those eligible, please do not contact your GP. This rollout is happening in phases to ensure fair and safe access across South West London and the rest of the country. However, if you do not fit the criteria, you can still find weight-loss support through the following website: http://www.southwestlondon.icb.nhs.uk/weight-loss-meds
