Balham Park Surgery is one of the leading GP Practices in the UK. It has been established for over 40 years and currently has over 12,000 patients registered with the practice. It is renowned for its care in the community, friendly approach and efficiency. Our main opening hours are between 8:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday.

We are currently looking for a Receptionist to join our lively, innovative and competent team.

The hours for this position are currently flexible and salary will be dependant on relevant skills and experience.

The role is extremely versatile. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Answering and screening calls
• Booking Appointments
• Recording complex telephone messages
• Greeting patients and handling enquires on the front desk
• Filing patient records, prescriptions and general administrative jobs
• Liaising with patients, clinicians, medical and administrative staff

You should have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A superb telephone manner
• An ability to remain calm in a busy and ever changing environment
• Be able to maintain impeccable levels of discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Superb organisational skills
• A caring approach
• Previous reception experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
