Calling the Surgery for Problems That Need Same Day Assessment

 

It is possible to get better outcomes if you are able to think ahead about when to call us.

 

Phoning the surgery to book an appointment can sometimes lead to frustration. Our lines unfortunately get very busy and you may be on hold for what seems like too long. When you do finally get through there may be no appointments available that fit your needs so you need to be called back by a doctor for further assessment.

 

Our core hours cease at 6.30pm and phone lines reopen at 8.00am Monday to Friday.

 

Outside of these hours, things that can’t wait will be covered by Wandsworth’s out of hours provider SELDOC via dialling 111.

 

If you have an urgent need to see or speak to a GP start trying to call at 8.00am just as our phones start to be answered by our Care Navigation Team.

 

If your appointment is non-urgent please do call at a quieter time of day. We are always very busy in the morning.  Middle to late afternoon things quieten down and you should be able to get through more quickly.
